My favourite Bible verse is Jeremiah 17:7-8 because it reminds me to always be dependent on God. The depth of my faith is a testament to the impact that both my family and Compassion have had on my life.
I am especially grateful for the social and emotional input I received from staff at my local Compassion child development centre growing up. It has helped me see each problem in my life as an opportunity to learn something about myself that will shape me into a better person.
Thanks to motivation from my Compassion mentors, I have grown spiritually and feel led to serve as a singer in my village’s ministry team. After I complete university, I want to use my degree to preserve the Javanese culture and language.
I am certain that those who depend on God are like trees planted by the water, that shall always be green and never cease from yielding fruit. God is my best friend; He always understands me and gives the best for me. God never misses to listen to every sigh of my heart.
