Child Visits

We will help plan your visit

One of the most exciting events in the life of a Compassion-sponsored child is a visit from their sponsor. However, please don't tell your child you will be visiting, as children have had to overcome disappointment when an intended visit was cancelled.

A Compassion staff member from your child's country will assist by accompanying you on your visit.

To arrange to visit your sponsored child:

Eye opener - Sponsors visit Uganda, Africa

Danny and Jennifer Cooke from Orange, NSW, had the experience of a lifetime when they travelled to Uganda to meet their sponsored child, Isaac Ssali.

Emotions rose and heartbeats quickened as they drew near to Isaac's home. The house was ramshackle and Isaac's parents' graves were only a couple of metres from the house. Most children from this project have been orphaned by AIDS and live with relatives.

"Sponsorship is more than just giving money, it is about loving the child God has given you. It is allowing that child to see the giver of money, through letters," Jennifer said.

"We were so incredibly impressed by the amount of work Compassion do, and the care they show to the children. If Compassion around the world is like Compassion Uganda, then people can be so proud of them, in the knowledge that the money is getting to the children."
