Church Partnerships

How does it work?

Compassion works with the local church, not through it. We link different parts of the Body of Christ to help release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.

The mission

The mission is to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name by addressing their spiritual, economic, social, physical and emotional needs.

Your strategic step

Your church can partner with Compassion and churches in the developing world to put God’s love into action. As you strategically focus on helping children in a particular community or region, poverty takes on a name and a face: a child, a mother, a community. Partnership brings the reality of poverty into your church on an individual and communal level.

A hope and a future

Through Compassion Church Partnerships, children are provided with education, nutrition, healthcare, safe places to play and the chance to know Jesus as their saviour. Children are embraced by the local church, given the chance to escape the cycle of poverty and despair, and the opportunity to step into a future filled with hope.

Churches transformed on both sides

These partnerships aim to mutually transform churches on both sides of the world. In the developing world, churches are equipped to reach out to their communities with increased capacity and resources. In Australia, your church can further develop its worldview and biblical response to injustice, and increase its missional influence both overseas and in your local community.
