Final Disaster Update: Civil Unrest (East Indonesia)

Compassion East Indonesia has submitted the final crisis update for the civil unrest that began on 6 June 2012.

The situation has improved in Wamena. All child development centres in the area resumed normal activities on 11 June 2012. The homes of four Compassion assisted children from ID 408 Yosua Child Development Centre were burned. Staff at the centre are working together to help build new homes for the affected families.

Please continue to pray for the families and communities affected during the civil unrest.  Please pray for the Lord’s continued protection and care of all Compassion assisted children and their families in East Indonesia.

This closes the disaster communication regarding the civil unrest that occurred in East Indonesia.
