Crisis Update: Heavy Rains (East Indonesia)

Flood waters, caused by heavy rains on 16 February, have receded in Manado.

A total of 81 children from ID-102 Kharisma Waya Child Development Centre, ID-105 Sola Fide Child Development Centre, and ID-128 Berkat Child Development Centre have been affected by the floods.  Many have relocated due to damaged homes, and some have lost personal belongings.

Compassion is providing temporary shelter, water and other necessities to the affected families.

Please pray for the Lord’s protection and care of all Compassion assisted children, their families and Compassion staff members in Manado.

Compassion East Indonesia will keep us updated as more information becomes available.
