Child education

In 1989, the United Nations decreed education as a right for every child, and the Millennium Development Goals aim to give all children a primary school education by 2015.

Child health

Even before a child is born, many parents’ insufficient wages, poor diets, lack of education and inadequate housing and sanitation means their child’s health will suffer. 

Child labour

Children shouldn’t be subject to hard labour at such a tender age; they’re not created to run a household before they’ve started school, or work on a farm so their family can eat.

When a family is gripped by poverty and desperate for survival, they become vulnerable to the exploitation of child trafficking.
