Compassion church partnerships

  • Are you passionate about releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name?
  • Are you looking for a way to unite and engage your entire congregation in international mission?
  • Does your church want to increase its sphere of influence and see God at work?
  • Do you long to see the Body of Christ working in unity around the world?

A Compassion Church Partnership is an exciting opportunity to link your congregation with Compassion and churches in the developing world, together seeking justice for children in poverty. It affirms the unique and God-ordained role of the local church as an instrument of change in the world, bringing justice to the poor and oppressed.

Your strategic step

Your church can partner with Compassion and churches in the developing world to put God’s love into action. As you strategically focus on helping children in a particular community or region, poverty takes on a name and a face: a child, a mother, a community. Partnership brings the reality of poverty into your church on an individual and communal level.

A hope and a future

Through Compassion Church Partnerships, children are provided with education, nutrition, healthcare, safe places to play and the chance to know Jesus as their Saviour. Children are embraced by the local church, given the chance to escape the cycle of poverty and despair, and the opportunity to step into a future filled with hope.

Churches transformed on both sides

These partnerships aim to mutually transform churches on both sides of the world. In the developing world, churches are equipped to reach out to their communities with increased capacity and resources. In Australia, churches grow and deepen their commitment to the poor as members respond to the injustice of poverty on a personal and corporate level, praying and working together towards a common focus.
