Faced with the overwhelming weight of poverty in developing countries, it’s easy to feel like the situation is hopeless. But Jesus has overcome the troubles of this world, including the misery of poverty.

When the Christian Church is empowered to bring the love of God into the lives of children—there is hope. Through Compassion child sponsorship, children receive hope and are equipped to replicate that hope within their communities.

Each child in Compassion’s Child Sponsorship Program has access to education, the resources to see a doctor when they are sick, and the freedom to be a child. They also learn they have hope in Jesus Christ. Even if they are still surrounded by poverty, it is not their future.

When you sponsor a child, you will change the course of that child’s future. Through your love, prayers, encouragement and financial support, the local church is empowered to lead your sponsored child out of the hopelessness of poverty, into abundant life.
