Compassion Australia CEO Dr Tim Hanna will share his heart for children living in poverty, at a special evening events in Armidale, Lismore and Coffs Harbour in October.
The free events are open to the community and are a unique opportunity to hear personal stories and life-changing moments from Tim’s time as CEO of the fourth largest charity in Australia.
As a pastor in Brisbane for 30 years, Tim has dedicated his life to giving hope to people and communities. In 2010, Tim brought this passion to Compassion Australia when he joined as CEO.
“I’ve seen children living under the blight of poverty, and I’m committed to seeing these children given hope and opportunities for the future,” says Tim.
“I love what I do; each day I’m part of bringing together children who desperately need hope and connecting them with a sponsor who loves, cares and prays.”
Over the past four years Tim has visited 11 field countries, but it’s the individual children who make a lasting impact. From meeting many children like Esther in Uganda and seeing the dramatic change in circumstances for them, to seeing Magda in Guatemala graduate from university as a social worker and lead a Compassion centre herself; the stories are close to Tim’s heart.
“Each child has a story, and Compassion is committed to giving them a voice,” says Tim.
Join Tim for coffee and dessert at:
Armidale City Bowling Club on Monday 20 October
Goonellabah Community Centre on Tuesday 21 October
