Raise your hand if you want to help release children from poverty in Jesus’ name? That’s a lot of hands! We all want to be part of this and do what we can to help, but it can be a struggle to think outside the box and figure out how to find children sponsors. To help you out, we’ve come up with three easy ways to get children sponsored!

1. Host a Compassion Sunday
What’s Compassion Sunday you ask? It’s a special day for you and your church to find sponsors for children living in poverty. It’s an opportunity to speak up for the millions of children around the world who are silenced by their circumstances. Sounds pretty good, right? Before you dismiss this idea as too much work, this video shows you how brilliantly simple holding a Compassion Sunday event can be!
2. Become a Compassion advocate
As a Compassion advocate, there are so many ways you can raise awareness and support for children living in poverty. You can share about Compassion’s ministry over delicious food by hosting A Taste of Compassion for your nearest and dearest. There’s the option of playing The Options Game (see what we did there?) with a bunch of friends, or you can host a screening of 58: The Film. These are just a few of the activities you can engage in to highlight the issue of child poverty—and hopefully result in more children getting sponsored.
3. Jump on the Compassion website
If you’re thinking about expanding your Compassion family, what better time to start than now! Jump on the Compassion website and sponsor another child. Or encourage your friends and family to sponsor by directing them to our website through email or social media. We can all make a difference, one child at a time.
