• What do I receive when I give a Gift of Compassion?

  For every Gift of Compassion you order, you will receive a beautiful gift card to personalise for your friends and loved ones. The amount you have donated will not be printed on the card.

  Real goods and services represented by the Gift of Compassion item you order will be given to children and families supported by Compassion around the world.

• Can I send my sponsored child a Gift of Compassion?

  No. Gifts of Compassion are different to the gifts you can send your sponsored child. Funds from the purchase of Gifts of Compassion are pooled to support a range of Critical Needs that benefit many children and families and can't be directed to an individual child.

  However, you can choose to send a gift specifically for your sponsored child by giving a child gift, family gift and/or birthday gift. One hundred per cent of these gifts will directly benefit your sponsored child and their family.

• Do the Gifts of Compassion gifts really cost what I am paying for them?

  The gifts featured in the Gifts of Compassion represent initiatives Compassion carries out to address the needs of children that require support beyond sponsorship. As each country and community in the developing world has its own unique challenges to address, what these initiatives look like and how much they cost can vary. This means your donation will be pooled with others to fund an initiative.

• Why is the Pack of 10 only available as physical cards?

  The Gifts of Compassion Fruit and Veggie Seeds Pack of 10 was introduced to make the ordering process simpler for you. There isn’t a need to introduce a digital version as this can be done by simply entering your desired quantity of cards.

• What is a Gift of Compassion?

  Gifts of Compassion are real goods and services given to children and families in Compassion child development centres around the world when you purchase an item from the Gifts of Compassion catalogue. For every Gift of Compassion you order, you will receive a gift card to personalise for your friends and loved ones.

  Funds raised from the Gifts of Compassion catalogue are used to support Compassion's Critical Needs, which remove obstacles to children's development and implement preventative action. These interventions include providing safe water, disaster relief, emergency medical care, vocational training, infrastructure, and much more: all issues that need to be addressed for a child to be released from poverty.

  Compassion Australia uses Gifts of Compassion funds to meet the project needs represented in the catalogue.
