The gift of vaccines helps care for the most vulnerable members of society: children living in poverty. Worldwide, a child dies every 20 seconds from vaccine-preventable diseases*. It is children living in developing countries who often bear the terrible burden. By gifting vaccinations, you’ll help immunise children and prevent diseases like diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough and measles.

This bundle is all about good health! Not only will you be preventing deadly diseases such as malaria, you’ll be enabling children to live healthy lives and maintain their gorgeous smiles!
The gifts featured in the Gifts of Compassion represent initiatives Compassion carries out to address the needs of children that require support beyond sponsorship. As each country and community in the developing world has their own unique challenges to address, what these initiatives look like and how much they cost can vary. This means your donation will be pooled with others to fund an initiative.
No. Gifts of Compassion are different to the gifts you can send your sponsored child. Funds from the purchase of Gifts of Compassion are pooled to support a range of Critical Interventions that benefit many children and families and can't be directed to an individual child.
However, you can choose to send a gift specifically for your sponsored child by giving a child gift, family gift and/or birthday gift. One hundred per cent of these gifts will directly benefit your sponsored child and their family.
Your Gifts of Compassion cards will be delivered to you within 14 working days from when you place your order. We send Gifts of Compassion cards directly to the person who orders them to enable you to personalise them before giving them to your friends and loved ones.
To make sure you receive your Christmas gift cards in time for Christmas, we recommend you make your order by 6 December. We will continue to take orders after this date, but your gift cards may arrive after Christmas.
We work closely with our church partners around the world to make sure the gifts we’ve selected will make a big difference in the lives of the children and families in their communities. However, if at the time of purchase there isn’t a need for your chosen gifts, the funds will go towards a comparable, more urgent initiative.
We are committed to ensuring that the gifts from our Gifts of Compassion catalogue facilitate good development work. This means responding to the changing needs of the children and families in Compassion’s program around the world. If at the time of purchase there isn’t a need for your chosen gift, the funds will go towards a comparable, more urgent initiative. For example, if there was no current need for chickens, then your funds may go towards a pig or another farm animal.
