    We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to be based at Compassion Australia’s Newcastle office. Reporting to the Senior Ministry Analyst, the Data Analyst is responsible for contributing to the continuous improvement of ministry operations through the collection, analysis and dissemination of accurate, timely and relevant ministry information.

    The successful applicant will be an active Christian with a heart for the poor, who is humble and teachable and can demonstrate experience in extracting data from databases, statistical data modelling, forecasting and business case development using various databases and reporting tools. He or she will also have experience applying knowledge gained through analysis to solving business and process problems.

    Compassion Australia is looking for a brilliant communicator with public relations experience to join its Communications Team for a full-time, 6 month position. 

    The successful applicant will participate in all functions of the Communications Team, including writing and editing magazine and newsletter articles, video and phone scripts, radio advertisements, direct mail copy, web content, donor proposals and reports, brochures and proofing and approving a range of promotional materials.

    They will be an active Christian, highly adaptable and a team-player who is ready for a new challenge. The essential criteria includes:

    • Bachelor degree in communications, English and/or journalism, or equivalent experience
    • Proven experience in their respective field
    • Attention to detail, strong proofreading/editing skills and exceptional interpersonal skills
