    Are you an experienced and capable people manager in search of a new and more meaningful challenge? We are currently seeking an Area Manager who will lead and manage a high performing team that maximises Compassion Australia’s profile, influence and impact across Victoria and Tasmania.

    Compassion Australia is part of a global ministry that seeks to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. As an Area Manager you will work as part of an Area team to build and manage relationships with a range of groups including churches, advocates and donors that will increase Compassion’s profile, influence and impact.

    The successful applicant will be an active Christian with a heart for the poor, who is humble and teachable and possesses outstanding interpersonal, planning and skills in order to:

    • Lead and manage a cross-functional team responsible for Compassion’s engagement with churches, donors and advocates, including the provision of regular 1-1 performance evaluations and coaching
    • Collaborate with other Area Managers and senior management based in the Newcastle head office to develop and report on strategic plans, operational plans and budgets
    • Establish and manage a number of key relationships with local churches, advocates and/or major donors.

    If you love interacting with people on the phone, have a knack for explaining complex things with simplicity, are a committed Christian and passionate about helping children in poverty, then Compassion Australia has the perfect job for you. We’re looking for a Supporter Relationship Specialist to join our busy customer service centre. Opportunities for full-time, and flexible part-time positions are available for a 12 month period. Previous experience in a customer service related role or call centre is desired but not essential.

    The Travel Centre Advisor facilitates visits and trips to the field for Compassion supporters, guests and staff.  The Travel Centre Advisor is also responsible for organising corporate travel, both domestic and international and provides an excellent customer experience for supporters and staff.
