    Compassion Australia is part of a global ministry that seeks to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. As a Relationship Manager you will work as part of an Area team to build and manage relationships with a range of groups including churches, advocates and donors that will increase Compassion’s profile, influence and impact.
     
    The successful candidate will be an active Christian with a heart for the poor, who is humble and teachable, and has:

    • A demonstrated capacity to build the influence and impact of an organisation by developing and managing relationships with external stakeholders
    • Exemplary interpersonal skills, including the ability to network with people of diverse ages and backgrounds
    • Well-developed administrative skills
    • Knowledge of the Australian local church context
    • Knowledge of global poverty and development
    • Tertiary qualifications in Sales, Marketing, Communication or equivalent experience
    • Experience publically representing an organisation

    Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Support Officer assists the Financial Controller with a range of administrative duties including the processing of payments, entering data into accounting software, reconciling petty cash, travel advances, corporate credit cards, bank reconciliations and the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

    The successful applicant will be an active Christian with a heart for the poor, who is humble and teachable and has: 

    • Exemplary administrative skills including attention to detail
    • Time management ability
    • Strong mathematical and analytical ability
    • Experience in documenting procedures and processes
    • Previous experience with data entry in accounting software
    • Accurately reconcile banking, debtors, creditors, and balance sheet accounts
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
    • Intermediate ability with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
    • TAFE Certificate IV in Accounting or equivalent (or willingness to complete)
    • Knowledge of business principles and processes
    • Current driver’s license

    Compassion Australia is seeking a dynamic and professional Executive Assistant to join our values based organisation. This is a full-time permanent position located at our Newcastle Office.
     
    Working within a fun and supportive team environment, this position will provide exceptional administrative and functional support for the Chief Executive Officer, ensuring effective ministry operations and strategic use of the Chief Executive Officer’s time and abilities.
    The successful applicant will be an active Christian with a heart for the poor who has:

    • A proven track record providing wide ranging administrative support to a senior leadership team and/or board of directors.
    • Exemplary administrative skills, including outstanding attention to detail.
    • Exemplary communication skills, including the ability to communicate via phone and email with people from diverse backgrounds.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to monitor information and communicate on behalf of CEO when required.
    • Time management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple calendars.
    • Knowledge of business principles and processes, including records and budget management.
    • Ability to work to deadlines and manage several projects concurrently
