Since rising to fame after winning X Factor in 2013, Dami has been committed to using her platform to speak up for children living in poverty; she became a Compassion ambassador the following year.
Despite being told to stay in Europe to tour following her success at Eurovision, Dami instead fulfilled a promise she had made months early to go to Uganda to meet six-year-old Jovia and shine a light on the difference Compassion child sponsorship makes.
