It may be possible to remain in contact with your sponsored child after they graduate. After forming a special bond with this young person, it can be understandably difficult to say goodbye.

If you wish to try to remain in contact with your sponsored child, please complete the Continuing Contact release form, giving permission for us to send contact details to your former sponsored child.

To obtain a copy of the form, email us at compassion@compassion.com.au or call us on 1300 22 44 53. Please read the information carefully and prayerfully consider if you would like to continue before signing the form and returning it to Compassion Australia.

We will send your completed release form to the local staff in your sponsored child’s country, who will endeavour to forward your contact details to your sponsored child. It will be the child's responsibility to contact you and we cannot guarantee that further communication will be initiated.

Compassion always respects the right of either the sponsor or the former sponsored child to decline continuing contact. There could also be situations where Compassion is unable to deliver your contact details, such as if the child moves to another area immediately after graduating.

Once your continuing contact form is received and you have sent your final letter, Compassion will no longer be responsible for communication between you and your former sponsored child.
