You can give an additional financial gift to your sponsored child and their family through Compassion. Thank you for your generosity and care!

When you give a direct financial gift, 100 per cent of your gift will go directly to the child and their family. The staff from the local child development centre will help the family to purchase a gift they need. Where possible, gifts are bought within the community to help support the local economy.

How to give a gift

1. Log in to My Account.
2. Click on your sponsored child’s photo.
3. Click ‘send a gift’.
4. Choose the gift type, frequency, amount and payment method.
5. Click ‘confirm and pay’.

What kind of gifts can you give?

Child gifts: This gift is specifically for your sponsored child. You can give a minimum of $20 to a maximum of $150 up to twice a year.

Birthday gifts: This gift is also specifically for your sponsored child. You can give between $20 and $150 once a year as a birthday gift. We recommend giving the gift two months before the birthday to allow plenty of time for it to be received.

Family gifts: This gift will benefit your sponsored child’s whole family. You can give a minimum of $35 and up to $1,500 in total per year. These gifts can be given once-off or up to four times per year.

Child centre gifts: This gift will assist your sponsored child’s local child development centre to purchase resources that will benefit every child in their program. You can give a minimum of $70 and up to $20,000 in total annually. These can be given once-off or up to four times per year.

Final gifts: This gift is for your sponsored child and can be given during their final year in the Child Sponsorship Program to help set them up well for their future. You can give between $20 and $4,000 as a final gift.

Bible Fund: Encourage a love for God’s Word by giving children an age-appropriate Bible in their own language. Donations are pooled so that more Compassion assisted children around the world can learn about the good news of Jesus and discover God’s incredible love.

Christmas Fund: We recommend giving a minimum of $30 per sponsored child annually to the Christmas Fund. Donations are joined together so that a gift can be purchased for every Compassion assisted child around the world. Ten per cent of donations to Compassion's Christmas Gift Fund is allocated to administration and fundraising.
