Compassion Australia therefore has zero tolerance for child abuse and believes all children—regardless of their gender, race, religious beliefs, age, disability, sexual orientation, family or social background—have equal rights to protection from abuse.

We are committed to promoting and protecting the best interests of children involved in Compassion’s programs and activities.

Our vision is that Compassion’s child protection practices are comprehensive, high quality, consistently implemented, rights-based, and have shared ownership with everyone involved—from children and their families to sponsors, local church partner volunteers to Compassion Australia staff, and everyone in between.
