For the families we walk alongside, poverty doesn’t stop for Christmas. Most parents can’t afford to buy their children gifts when they are already stretched trying to meet basic needs.
Yet every child deserves to experience Christmas joy. Your donation will be pooled with others to ensure each child in the Compassion program has a special present to open this Christmas: a reminder that they are loved by Jesus and never forgotten.

For children like 12-year-old Emanuel, they wait for this moment all year.
One by one, they line up at their Compassion centre in northern Peru, their eyes fixed on the gifts waiting to be opened. These gifts aren't taken for granted. They used to make their own toys from dirt or old rags at home.
Now, Christmas is a community celebration. Our local church partner brings families together, celebrating the birth of Jesus with storytelling, music, games, food and, of course, presents!
“I had so much fun, and I was very happy," Emanuel says. "The centre lets us choose our gift, and I got tennis shoes this year! I couldn’t wait to wear them,” he says.
