In Bolivia, childhood often ends too early. Children who should be in school are working to provide for their families. Streets that children should be playing in are where they face threats like sex trafficking and abuse. Without stable employment opportunities for youth, it can feel impossible for families to break the cycle of poverty.

Poverty in Bolivia

1 in 4
people don’t have access to basic sanitation
2 in 5
workers do not earn the minimum wage
14%
of school-aged children are forced to work

Yet God's Church is on the move in Bolivia. Infrastructure is being built so children can access safe water and sanitation. Local churches are safe spaces where children are protected and know their worth in God’s eyes. Youth are gaining vocational skills so they can move towards a future where their God-given potential is realised.

Impact in action

Angel and Rodrigo

Change is happening across Bolivia. Rodrigo’s home was once broken. They couldn’t make ends meet and his father Angel struggled with an alcohol addiction. But when Angel stepped foot in the church to watch his child's performance, God met him there. Rodrigo’s family was transformed, and now they're helping other families heal too.

“Thanks to the centre, thanks to the program, my children got to know the Lord and my family has been rescued from something rotten, because I was on a different path. With our experience I want to help the families who are going through different problems and the families who are about to separate.”
Angel, Rodrigo’s father

Good Morning Devotional: Day 3
In John 3:16, we see that God’s love for us moved Him to action. That’s what love looks like. It acts. It gives. God the Father gave His one and only Son Jesus to die a sinner’s death on a cross, so that we may be restored to eternal life with Him. We have been restored through love. When we understand how much we have been loved and restored, we too are moved to action.
